Snow is where the heart is

Unlike most I love the snow. Even though I have to wake early to shovel out it brings me a great peace. This is saying a lot for a boy who hates to do tasks such as yard work more than anything else. But with the snow, sometimes I just sit out there in the silence and look around. I can appreciate this world much more when there is nothing moving, nothing making a sound except the occasional icicle dropping or animal scurrying about. I hold my numbed head and can just breathe. It's moments like this, when your world has changed, that I have looked forward to more.

Walks in the city feel better because everyone else is either frightened or hates the cold. The rush felt when your face is frozen from the whipping weather and you enter somewhere warm is a simple yet beautiful moment I look forward to. Funny thing is I feel that something is on my side this year because we haven't had this many big storms since I would say 2003. Maybe it's known that some of us do appreciate what most do not.

Oh sleep does not come

As I start to fade, and the few that I have told about this site, read it, I am not sad. I'm tired but actually happy. If this last round doesn't work then what can you do? I've taken to just posting videos and taking pictures of everything for two reasons, a) in case I forget and b) just for fun. Thanks to everyone who was truthful and real friends.
